Teksupport Brings PRYDA to Brooklyn Navy Yard for Finale Show, February 23

Building 28’s Last Party Before Closure

Tickets On Sale January 23

Brooklyn’s Navy Yard Building 28, which in the past has hosted the likes of Solomun, Ibiza mainstay brand Circoloco, and more, will have its last dance in February. Closing out the venue’s final show will be a very rare appearance from PRYDA, the progressive focused alias of producer and DJ, Eric Prydz. Prydz requested to play the final party of the Navy Yard after selling out two nights there in November, performing under his techno-focused moniker Cirez D, back to back with Drumcode founder Adam Beyer.

Of Prydz’ numerous alter egos, including the elusive, darker Cirez D, PRYDA remains the most well-known and influential, though his performances as PRYDA remain rare. The alias was incepted around 2004, with tracks like “Pjanoo,” “Allein,” “Power Drive,” and many more establishing the distinctive “Pryda sound” that has since influenced an entire generation of progressive house artists. His three-disc, Eric Prydz Presents Pryda retrospective album was immediately deemed one of the Swedish veteran’s most impressive and groundbreaking works at the time of its 2012 release, and a release that many artists continue draw inspiration from.

Teksupport has re-shaped the city’s nightlife since its 2014 foundation, discovering incredible raw and industrial spaces and transforming them for large scale one-off underground dance events with bespoke production. In the coming months alone they will host the likes of Maceo Plex, Marco Carola, Maya Jane Coles, and Sven Väth, showcasing the strains of house and techno they are committed to championing.
